How do I make my text cursor more visible in Windows?

Windows allows you to alter your text colour and size settings to make it more visible. This can be done by selecting the Start button - Settings - Ease of Access - Text Cursor.

Alternatively, you can utilise keyboard shortcut keys to access the Ease of Access centre (Windows Key and U), tab once to followed by down arrow twice then Enter.

The changes you can make include:

  • Adding a text cursor indicator – the toggle on and off option allows an indicator to be placed which makes the cursor easier to see. You can also increase or decrease the indicator size (using a slider) and change the cursor indicator colour.
  • Changing the text cursor appearance – a slider allows the thickness of the cursor to be increased or decreased. Making it easier to locate and see.
