Where can I get support from other parents and carers of children with vision impairment during the coronavirus (Covid-19)?

The following support groups will connect you with other parents and carers of children and young people with a vision impairment:

RNIB - Parent and Carers of VI Children Facebook group

Join a community that brings together everyone who is a parent or carer of a child who's blind, partially sighted or lives with any degree of sight loss. This closed group and is a supportive, safe environment where you can share your story, ask questions, get advice and talk about the issues that matter to you and your family.

LOOK UK Parent Support Group Chat

LOOK UK will be holding weekly parent chats aimed to create a community of support during this period. Each week they will be discussing different themes and inviting guest speakers to join in the conversation. For further information or suggestions on topics and that you’d like to be covered, email [email protected].

RNIB’s Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) team would like to hear from you if you have any specific concerns, in particular “How do I?” questions or topics. Please email [email protected] using the title “How we can help you?” with your ideas or concerns or call the RNIB helpline on 0303 123 99 99.
