Are there any alternatives to supermarkets?
If you can't get out to your supermarket or get a home delivery, you could also try contacting your local:
- Organic shops
- Farm shops
- Pubs and cafes - some local pubs and cafes are starting to offer home delivery of ready cooked meals
- Milk and Dairy farms - milkmen can often supply more than milk, you can often also get eggs, cheeses and yoghurt
- Online food delivery companies, such as Deliveroo.
If you need further advice or support during this time, please call RNIB on 0303 123 9999 or visit the gov.uk coronavirus (Covid-19) web pages, along with additional information for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
