How do I give a partially sighted colleague a document in writing?

Just ask your colleague their preferred format, for example, computer-based or large print, and try to give documents and paperwork in advance. Some partially sighted people like documents to be reproduced in a larger font, and they will be able to tell you what size is best for them.

You'll find most people will simply ask you to send them an electronic copy (for example, a Word document) in advance. This will allow them to print it themselves, or read it directly from their computer using assistive technology software.

You can apply the same principle to any training materials your colleague might need, for example part of an induction programme or training session.
