How do I make my pointer/cursor more visible on an Apple Mac computer?
The mouse pointer/cursor changes shape depending on where it is on the screen. Most often it appears as a small white arrow with a black outline. The mouse pointer/cursor size can be adjusted based on your preference within the Accessibility options panel of a Mac.
To access the accessibility options panel and adjust the mouse pointer/cursor you will need to:
- Click the Apple menu in the top left of your screen
- Click System Preferences
- Click Accessibility
- Click Display in the menu on the left
- Click on the Cursor tab on right side of the screen
- Click and drag the slider next to the cursor size.
As you drag the slider along you should see the cursor increase in size.
Apple also has an option called Shake mouse pointer. This means your mouse becomes more significant when you shake your mouse to enable easier location of the cursor. This can be turned on as follows:
- Click the Apple menu in the top left of your screen
- Click System Preferences
- Click Accessibility
- Click Display in the menu on the left
- Click on the Cursor tab on right side of the screen
- Choose the checkbox next to Shake mouse pointer.
