Is it worth registering as blind or partially sighted?
Yes, the choice is yours but it's definitely worth registering your sight loss with your local authority.
Although you can still claim benefits without registering, being registered will make it easier for you to prove your sight loss when claiming. It will also make it easier for you to obtain any concessions you may be entitled to.
Registering your sight loss will enable you to benefit from the rights of the Equality Act.
