How can I get my Will written or updated for free?

There are a number of free Will writing services available including:

National Free Wills Network

You can have your Will written or updated for free by a local solicitor through the National Free Wills Network. This service is available throughout the UK. Your chosen charity will pass your name and address to the National Free Wills Network, who will send you a letter containing the details of participating solicitors in your area who can write or update your Will.

The Goodwill Partnership

The Goodwill Partnership offer a free home-based Will writing service over the phone, or face-to-face in England and Wales, and they also have a limited number of online video appointments. You can arrange an appointment directly with The Goodwill Partnership online, by calling 0844 669 6148 or by texting GOODWILL2 to 60777 (one of their team will call you back).

Bequeathed

Bequeathed is an accessible and free online Will writing service. You can create an account on the Bequeathed website and make a start on your Will. Guidance and support are available to help you progress at your own pace. The Bequeathed website is fully accessible.
