I am a Qualified Teacher of Visually Impaired Children (QTVI). Are there any networks or local groups I can join for training and development?

VIEW is the professional membership association of QTVIs (Qualified Teachers of children and young people with vision impairment), and all professionals supporting children and young people with vision impairment, including LSAs, mobility and habituation workers, and trainee QTVIs. VIEW provides members with support and a range of resources, and brings them together through career development activities, professional networks and peer support events, and an annual national conference. The VITAL network (Vision Impairment Touches All Learning) is for professionals who work with children with complex needs and vision impairment. There are four regional groups in England and Wales who meet twice a year for training and sharing of good practice.

The Braille network meets twice a year in Leeds and London, and is for any professionals supporting a child who is learning through braille.
