Where can I find out more about eye research?

Fight for Sight provides funding to support important research through and work in partnership with other organisations in the sight loss sector, including the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal College of Ophthalmology.

Tragically, eye research has been woefully underfunded for many, many years. When you compare funding that has been spent on other long-term conditions such as cancer, dementia or stroke.

For too long it has been a neglected disease and that needs to change. Initiatives need to be backed by the government with the commitment of resource and skills and expertise to open up a new frontier of research.

Further information on the types of eye research being carried out can be found on the Fight for Sight and National Eye Research Centre websites.
