Do I get a discounted or free TV licence if my child has a vision impairment?
If your child is certified (England, Northern Ireland, Wales) or registered on the VINCYP Pathway (Scotland) as Severely Sight Impaired or blind, you are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on the cost of a TV licence. You will need to put the licence in your child's name and show your child's registration certificate when you renew your licence. For further information, contact the TV Licensing Helpline on 0300 790 6071 or visit tvlicensing.co.uk.
