What technology can be used in exams?
Technology that is part of a student’s normal way of working is often permissible in an exam. This could include tablets, optical or electronic magnifiers, e-book readers, or computers or braille notetakers used for word processing.
There are extensive rules concerning the use of technology so the most recent and relevant guidance must be checked by your school’s exams office, SENCo and QTVI to ensure you are following them correctly.
Further information for professionals about exam arrangements and access for students with vision impairment can be found on RNIB Access to exams and tests webpages.
