What equipment would be useful for a child with a vision impairment who has additional needs?

In education 

A Qualified Teacher of Vision Impairment (QTVI) or Qualified Teacher of Multiple Sensory Impairment (QTMSI) would make recommendations for equipment to be used in an education setting such as a school. This equipment would often be allocated as part of the development of support plans and may need to stay in the education setting:

Other professionals, such as a Habilitation Specialist (RQHS), an assistive technology specialist, or an Occupational Therapist (OT) may support with recommending equipment. 

At home 

Parents and carers can link in with support plans from school to help them understand what might also work at home. Some professionals, such as an RQHS or OT, may also be able to support with putting materials in place at home.

Other organisations may be able to support families of children with multiple or complex needs with specialist equipment for home use:
